Dining on the Titanic
Come to the Marlboro Library on Tuesday, May 15 at 7:00 p.m. as we welcome back Don Fraser, educator at Staatsburgh State Historic Site, for another intriguing historical presentation. From 1st class to 3rd class, dining on the great liner reached culinary heights never before experienced at sea. Both millionaires and poor immigrants were the beneficiaries of the Titanic’s commitment to a new standard of shipboard cuisine.
On the night of April 14, 1912, as the liner steamed through the icy north Atlantic, more than 2,000 passengers and crew members sat down to enjoy the last meal served on the Titanic. What were they eating? We’ll take an in-depth look at the menus…and the experience…of dining on the Titanic. Light refreshments will be offered. Walk-ins welcome, RSVP at marlborolibrary.org.
