Harvest Soup Virtual Cooking Class with Holly Shelowitz

Join Holly Shelowitz, Culinary Nutrition Educator and Nutrition Counselor, as she guides attendees step by step on how to create a delicious pot of soup, perfect for the cooler autumn days. Cook along or kick back and watch as Holly demonstrates the steps from her own kitchen!
This class will take place over Zoom. There will be some preparation prior to class. Simply set up your phone/iPad/computer in the kitchen so you can cook along. If you plan to follow the steps, a list of supplies will be posted closer to the program date.
Registration is required, spaces are limited. Attendees will be emailed
a Zoom link the day of the program.
Supply list:
Have these ingredients
chopped and ready for your soup:
1
onion, chopped
5 stalks celery, sliced
5 carrots, chopped in chunks
4 yukon gold/ red/ or other potatoes of choice
2 sweet potatoes (or yams) peeled
2 bay leaves
Salt
Optional Ingredients:
2 cans chickpeas, navy beans, black beans, kidney beans, or 1 cup dried green lentils
Herbs and spices (choose one)- rosemary, thyme, sage, curry, ginger, cayenne, hot sauce, or finely chopped garlic.
Optional Additions: sliced cabbage, radish, turnip, mushrooms, chef’s
choice. Have them chopped and ready if you choose to use them
