Dark Side of Marlboro Virtual Presentation

Thursday, October 29 at 7:00pm

Drownings, murders, a spiritualist conman? It didn’t happen in Marlboro! Or did it…?

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Library’s Dark Side of Marlboro Walking Tour will be offered in a different format this year! Instead of an in-person event, the Friends of the Marlboro Free Library will be offering their annual walking tour as a virtual presentation! Hear spooky, long forgotten tales unearthed from the Library’s Local History Collection and from old newspapers, as our annual tour guides, Ashley and Lindsay, take you on a virtual tour of town.

Can’t make the presentation? For a limited time, this tour will be featured on the Library’s new app, Discover Marlboro, which can be downloaded for free at the Apple or Google Play Store. This tour will be available on the app in early October.

Discover Marlboro is location-aware, which will show a user’s location in regards to nearby points of interest on an easily navigable map, and features audio playback, and historical photos and write-ups from the Library’s Local History Collection.

As the Dark Side of Marlboro is one of the Friends of the Marlboro Free Library’s biggest fundraisers, those who still wish to support the Library may do so at marlborolibrary.org by clicking the “Donate" button at the bottom of the webpage.

Registration is required. Participants will be emailed a presentation link the day of the event.
