Thursday, March 10th at 7:00pm

Much of the natural beauty and economic vitality of Marlboro and the surrounding Hudson Valley are due to bees. Bees are insects that through pollination of plants, are major contributors to the ecological balance of planet earth. During this lecture, local bee enthusiast, Richard Kurtz, will focus on some of the amazing wild bees and their habits that live in our community. In addition, there will be a basic introduction to honeybees and beekeeping. Richard will also address how homeowners can increase the presence of pollinators around their property and gardens.
